New order for 90 kg/h in Spain

NEWLAND has been selected to supply a large ozone system for improve the Santillana WTP located in Madrid (Spain) with a treatment capacity flow of 345.600 m3/day.

The order includes the turnkey installation, commissioning, and start-up of 90 kg/h of ozone by LOX for the Potable Water Treatment Plant. Newland supply a detailed study about the contact chambers efficiency based in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to obtain the maximum performance.

The installation comprises 3 ozone generators units with 30 kg/h each one, based in our NLO series with high energy efficiency. The ozone installation has been designed for fully automated operation to be able to supply ozone in pre and inter ozonation.

All equipment supplied by Newland has been designed following the strictest standards and end user requirements.

The Santillana ozone system is the second largest ozone plant operated by Canal de Isabel II and one of the largest in Spain. The plant will include the SENTINEL remote surveillance system that will allow complete monitoring of the ozone plant.

Installation work has already begun, and commissioning is expected for summer 2022.
