Newland Ozone Generators
Ozone is a molecule composed of 3 atoms of oxygen. Two atoms of oxygen form the basic oxygen molecule--the oxygen we breathe that is essential to life. The third oxygen atom can detach from the ozone molecule, and re-attach to molecules of other substances, thereby altering their chemical composition.
Stratospheric ozone is formed naturally by chemical reactions involving solar ultraviolet radiation and oxygen molecules. In the first step, solar ultraviolet radiation breaks apart one oxygen molecule to produce two oxygen atoms. In the second step, each of these highly reactive atoms combines with an oxygen molecule to produce an ozone molecule (O3).
Newland´s Ozone Generators use corona discharge technology. In this method, oxygen molecules (O2) are passed between two electrodes which are separated by a dielectric barrier. A High Voltage discharge is applied to the electrodes producing the ionization of the gas, called Cold Plasma and which causes some of the oxygen molecules to split apart and temporarily combine with other oxygen molecules making a molecule of three oxygen atoms (O3).
Newland NLO series ozone generators adopt modular design, which enables easy assembly work from small scale to large scale. The high capacity ozone production systems range, from 0,2 kg/h to 200kg/h, suitable for several applications.
Newland´s NLO series are ozone generators designed to work with dry air and oxygen with extremely low energy consumption. Its design makes this series one of the most competitive equipment on the market.
