Solar plant in Atacama Desert
Newland completes the installation of two 12 kg/h ozone generator units for the denox process at Cerro Dominador in Atacama, Chile.
The intervention in DWP aims to improve the process of water treatment for consumption, taking into account changes in water quality at the source (Albufeira del Roxo) that have occurred in recent years. The modifications in the space, especially through the installation of two new stages, will allow an improvement of the efficiency in the oxidation of the organic material and the absorption of undesirable odors and flavors.
This interesting project is the first solar thermal plant built in Latin America,
Newland was the winner of the project for two complete 12 kg/h ozone generators oxygen feed units with all its peripherals.
The solution adopted was the supply of two plug and play containers that include all the necessary elements for the application of ozone in the DeNox process.
The containerized units included an automatic control of ozone production together with all the necessary elements for its operation in such a critical area as the Atacama Desert.
