NEWLAND AWARDED THE OZONATION SYSTEM FOR EL AHOGADO WWTP IN MEXICO
Through the company Mitsui & Co. Infrastructure Solutions, Newland EnTech Europe has been awarded the contract for the supply of the ozonation plant for the El Ahogado WasteWater Treatment Plant; in the state of Jalisco, Mexico.
The objective of the project is the sanitation of the El Ahogado river basin through the modernization of the disinfection system and the expansion of the WWTP with 1,000 l/s for the treatment of wastewater emitted in the metropolitan area of Guadalajara.
The project includes the filtration and disinfection with ozone of a flow rate of 3,250 l/s, which corresponds to the 2,250 l/s currently treated at the El Ahogado WWTP, and the 1,000 l/s of the expansion. The expansion will benefit more than 5.2 million inhabitants.
The ozone generation plant will have a production capacity of 160 kg/h from liquid oxygen and using generators from the NLO-2G range, which offer some of the lowest energy consumption on the market.
The facility will be equipped with the most modern automation and control systems to optimize energy and oxygen consumption.
With this project, Newland reaffirms its presence in Mexico as a supplier of disinfection and oxidation systems and maintains its global technological leadership as a manufacturer of ozone generation equipment.
With more than 40,000 kg/h of ozone installed around the world, Newland contributes to the environment protection by reducing the consumption of chemical products using clean technologies.
