Newland supplies Ozone Generators System for Madin II Drinking Water Treatment Plant in Mexico

Newland completes the commissioning of the ozone generators systems for the Madin II stage in Mexico

Newland EnTech Europe - Ozone generator Madin II Mexico

Newland EnTech Europe was awarded the installation of an ozone generation system for Madin II DWP in Mexico.

The project called “Design, Construction and Stabilization of the Madín II Water Treatment Plant Project, Pumping Plants and Conduction Lines” consists of expanding the treatment capacity of the current one with the purpose of producing a greater volume of purified water to supply the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico (ZMVM).

Newland Entech Europe has supplied an ozone generation plant from dry air. The system consists of two high-efficiency NLO series generators, equipped with the most modern safety systems in terms of dielectric protection and an advanced energy consumption control system.

Each ozone generator incorporates a UV spectrophotometer that allows it to create a regulation loop to optimize energy consumption and thus minimize operating costs.

The plant has two complete compression and air treatment systems that will allow it to meet the highest air quality requirements for ozone generation.

This air, dry and filtered, will go to the two ozone production units of 7.5 kg/h each where it will be subjected to silent electric discharges of high voltage and frequency in order to transform the oxygen in the air into ozone.

Heat dissipation in the ozone generators is carried out through two closed-circuit cooling systems in order to preserve the construction materials of the equipment in the long term.

The ozone generated is sent to the contact chambers, where it will be transferred to the water by means of high-efficiency porous Dome-type diffusers.

For the destruction of undissolved ozone, catalytic thermal ozone destroyers governed by PLC have been incorporated in order to provide them with the most efficient process control.

The air preheating process and its temperature control are carried out with elements that are 100% compatible with humid gas ozone, thus guaranteeing its durability over time.

The construction of these destroyers is carried out in such a way that they can be installed and operated outdoors, without the need to place them in construction sheds.

Additionally, ozone destruction systems incorporate a demister or droplet separator and an under and over pressure valve.

To guarantee security within the plant, the ozonation building is equipped with the most modern security systems in terms of gas leak detection.

In the event of ozone gas leaks, the plant automatically disconnects and starts a set of air extractors, which will evacuate the entire volume of the room in a few seconds.

With this new reference, Newland reinforces its presence in the international market.

With more than 50,000 kg/h of ozone installed around the world, Newland contributes to the environment protection by reducing the consumption of chemical products using clean technologies.
